Steps Back

Stones light up one at a time, a steady step apart. Say whether the stone that just lit is the same one as a few steps back. It's the skill you use holding a phone number while you find a pen, or keeping a conversation's thread while you cook.

A stone every three seconds, about a minute a round. No answer counts as a miss, so a quick best guess beats waiting. When you're steady, the next level asks for one more step back.
